Computer-Aided Design

Computer Aided Design, or CAD for short, is the foundation work for any actual prototype, 3D printed object, or manufacturing run. The Alliance team of CAD engineers will work through the specifications so your end product looks right and lasts.

Our team knows the specific requirements for:

  • supported/unsupported wall thickness,
  • bounding box differences for polished/unpolished/dyed models,
  • density, size, and coil rate for supported and unsupported wires
  • minimum size for escape holes (important in the production phase)
  • requirements for embossing/engraving on the finishing product
  • clearance requirements
  • how to design for accurate production within .15mm for most size production models.

Your Alliance Invention Consultant will tell you whether a CAD rendering is right for you.
